Vintage Thai Silk Jacket with Embroidery & Coin Buttons needlepoint Guerra was founded in 1855

Guerra was founded in 1855 by Mastro Cappellaio Guerra in response to a request for hats by the Italian Savoy army

Condition:  The set is in very good condition with no wear

This hat came from the estate of Thomas Bassett Macaulay

It has pads in the shoulders and a long fitted silhouette with flared skirt that hangs in drapes

Vintage Thai Silk Jacket with Embroidery & Coin Buttons needlepoint Guerra was founded in 1855This is a striking silk jacket of Thai origin featuring quality woven silk. The jacket has Chinese 16 brass coin buttons affixed to the opening, eight coins on either side. Im not a Thai silk expert, but I think that the jacket is made of a mix of praewa silk and mudmee silk.
